frequently asked questions

Yep, it's that easy!

A: Yes, I do! Traditional payments are 30% due at the time of booking (when signing your contract) and the final 70% is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding day. But, if you wanted to do the payment plan, I can stretch the final balance into equal 1/3's or 1/4's if that works best for you. Just let me know what you prefer, and I will make it happen. It's that easy.

q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: Totally! But I want you feeling 1,000% comfortable and excited about the quality of your photographs before placing orders on those. That way, you only order exactly what you want, when you want, and when you know with confidence that they are going to look amazing on your walls and in your fine art heirloom albums. And all of this is done & ordered right through your online gallery!

q: Do you offer any albums, prints, canvases, guest books, etc?

A: That totally depends on your needs. A lot of couples that also book an engagement session use their photographs for their save-the-dates, invitations, website registries, guest books, framed prints for their guest table, bar, and their house... and of course Facebook & Instagram! Plus, it's a way for you to get a little practice in front of the camera before your big day and it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. :)

q: Do I need an engagement session?

A: I first picked up a camera seriously when I was a teenager (35mm film days), and I fell in love with documenting moments and life's story as I traveled around with my family. But it wasn't until I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Photography in 2013 that I took it on as a full-time career. So, we're talking 6+ years now as a profession. Man, now I feel old. Haha!

q: How long have you been a photographer?

A: Yes, I offer rehearsal dinner coverage provided I am available on your rehearsal dinner date. I can provide you a separate quote.

q: Do you offer rehearsal dinner coverage?

A: Travel within a 30 mile radius of my studio (home) is included. If your wedding or engagement session takes place outside of that range, an additional fee of $0.54/mile will be added.

q: Do you charge extra for travel?

A: Most brides book approximately 9-12 months in advance. If you want to guarantee that I'm available on your wedding date, I recommend signing up at your earliest convenience.

q: How soon in advance should we book our date?

A: While it is great if we can meet in person prior to your wedding, if you are planning a wedding from another state, don't worry. We can discuss details on the phone, e-mail or via Skype. When you arrive in town we can meet up for coffee to go over any last minute details.

q: Is it necessary to meet in person before the wedding?

A: After you've decided that you'd like to hire me to photograph your wedding, you will need to fill out a contract and pay a retainer fee to hold your date. I recommend that we meet in person for this, but I can also send you the documents via e-mail.

q: I'm ready to book my wedding, what's the next step?
